Saint Tropez

Each summer, Saint Tropez knows an incredible effervescence, the entire international jet set is there and drink Rosé and champagne. It is obviously the place to be for those who like to be seen. Hotels are fully booked: The Hotel de Paris, Byblos or the Chateau de la Messardiere. The port is lined with luxury yachts, the tourists walk on the dock and spend time on watching people partying on their boat. Pampelone gathers the private beaches. Everybody wants to party like a celebrity at the Nikki Beach or Club 55 during the day and at the Byblos or the Caves du Roy at night.

5 DAY TRIP TO FRANCE –FRENCH RIVIERA

Day 1

Arrive at Nice Côte d’Azur International Airport in Nice, France. Pick up your rental car and head to your luxurious hotel where you will be staying for the next three nights while you explore Nice and its surroundings

Day 2

Today, explore Nice’s lively and bustling Old Town, then take a short drive to the quaint greenery of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. Jump in the waters of Paloma Beach for a quick swim or hike one of the peaceful walking trails before settling in to watching the sun set over Nice.

Day 3

Take the coastal road up to micro-nation Monaco to see how the other half lives in Monte Carlo. Be sure to check out the small historic quarter (Monaco-Ville) with the Prince’s Palace along with the casino and fancy yachts. Once you’ve had enough of the flamboyant wealth, return to Nice via the inland road, making stops at La Turbie and Eze for spectacular views over the bay.

Day 4

Spend the morning relaxing in Nice either sunbathing on the pebble beach, sampling local food at the farmers market or taking a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais before heading on the half hour drive from Nice to Antibes where you will stay for two nights. Go for a leisurely lunch in a little restaurant or creperie in the compact old town. Burn off all that good food with a walk through the pedestrianized streets then around the picturesque waterfront. Stop by for a look at the Picasso Museum, housed in a former chateau built upon the ancient Greek city of Antipolis.

Day 5

Drive to Garoupe Beach to hike the meandering coastal path around the Cap d’Antibes. It’s an easy walk which should take a couple of hours, returning via the inland path. Swim in the sparkling calm waters at Juan les Pins and make sure to stick around for the sunset.
